The Beckham family made their first joint public appearance since Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram post confirmed a rift with his parents.
Last week, Brooklyn said he did not want to reconcile with his family and accused his parents of attacking him and his wife in the press.
On January 26, Sir David and Lady Beckham were joined by three of their four children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris.
The appearance coincided with Lady Beckham receiving a new honour, being named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. In an Instagram post following the award, she thanked the French Ministry of Culture and expressed pride in being recognised for her contributions to fashion.
The honour, awarded by the French Ministry of Culture, recognises contributions to the arts and literature. Previous recipients include actresses Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez, director Denis Villeneuve and actor Jude Law.
Although the family appeared together for the first time since Brooklyn’s statement, several members have been seen separately in recent days. Lady Beckham attended Emma Bunton’s 50th birthday, while Sir David was at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Romeo attended a Paris fashion show, and Cruz announced a mini tour with his band in the UK and Europe.
In his Instagram post, Brooklyn said he did not wish to reconcile and accused his parents of attempting to damage his relationship with Nicola Peltz Beckham. He also claimed his mother disrupted their first wedding dance.
The Beckhams have not publicly responded to the accusations. Speaking in Davos, Sir David commented generally on social media, saying children are «allowed to make mistakes».
