Centrum Air Explores New Routes to New York and Miami

Centrum Air is exploring the possibility of launching flights between Samarkand and New York and between Tashkent and Miami, following discussions with a U.S. embassy delegation in Uzbekistan.
The meeting included Centrum Holding’s founder and CEO Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov and co-founder Hafizjon Gafurov. The company confirmed plans to increase purchases of American aircraft, with its cargo division, My Freighter, set to acquire five Boeing planes this year.
The delegation also discussed plans to establish a university in partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which was founded in 1925 in Florida. The institution will train pilots and other aviation professionals, supporting the development of the regional aerospace workforce.
Abdurakhmanov highlighted the potential for deeper cooperation with U.S. companies, noting opportunities in aviation, logistics, education and investment.
Centrum Holding’s broader investment plans were also reviewed, including preparations for a public listing. The airline has partnered with U.S. investment bank Oppenheimer to strengthen its financial structure and support its plans to enter public capital markets.
Kursiv also reports that Uzbek airline Centrum Air recently received a new Airbus A321neo, marking the 14th aircraft in its fleet.
