Uzbekistan was among the countries that purchased Kazakh oil at the lowest prices in 2025, according to Kursiv Kazakhstan, citing Kazakhstan’s customs statistics.

Data show Uzbekistan imported 64,200 tonnes of oil worth $23.7 mln last year, meaning Uzbek buyers paid about $368.6 per tonne. Previously, oil supplies were not delivered directly to Uzbekistan, with only Russian hydrocarbons transiting through Kazakhstan.

Kursiv Kazakhstan estimates that Singapore and Switzerland also secured comparatively cheap supplies, paying roughly $435.7 and $460.4 per tonne respectively.

Overall, Kazakhstan exported 76 mln tonnes of oil and gas condensate in 2025, generating $39.9 bn in revenue. The average export price fell to $524.84 per tonne, compared with $603.76 in 2024.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s national statistics agency reported that the country spent $2 bn on oil and oil products imports last year, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%. Exports of oil-related products rose 18.6% to reach $673.6 mln.
