K-Pop supergroup BTS announced a Netflix stream of their first performance since their comeback.
The concert is scheduled for March 21 and will take place live from Gwanghwamun Square, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks.
The event will celebrate the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album, ARIRANG, set for March 20.
Netflix confirmed the performance will be followed by a documentary titled BTS: The Return on March 27, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the group’s return after completing their military service.
The streaming deal comes alongside announcements of BTS’s new album and a world tour spanning 34 cities across 82 dates. Fans can expect to see members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook reunite on the global stage for the first time.
The Grammy-nominated band has not performed outside the U.S. and South Korea since 2019. During the hiatus that began in 2022, members released solo albums and toured individually. They resumed group activities last June after all members finished South Korea’s mandatory military service.
Netflix described the comeback as a “defining cultural moment” with a live global stream, documentary and worldwide tour.
The documentary will explore BTS facing quieter challenges such as «how to begin again» and «how to move forward together.» Netflix added that it will show moments of doubt, laughter and rediscovery, culminating in a landmark album reflecting who the members are today.
