KazTransOil to Raise Oil Transit Tariffs for Russia–Uzbekistan Route

Kazakhstan’s pipeline operator KazTransOil will increase tariffs for oil transportation through its pipeline network starting March 1, the company said.

The transit fee for crude shipped from Russia to Uzbekistan will rise by 0.4% to $28.02 per tonne, excluding VAT.

Charges for pumping oil into railway tank cars at the Shagir facility will also increase. For Russian crude, the tariff will go up by 14% to $0.96 per tonne. In addition, KazTransOil will revise tariffs on the Kenkiyak–Atyrau pipeline via the Kosimov oil pumping station. The cost of transporting Kazakh oil along this route will increase by 0.8% to 80.99 tenge, or roughly $0.16, per tonne.

At the same time, fees for unloading oil from railway tank cars will jump by 130% to 1,700 tenge, or about $3.4, per tonne.
