The number of Uzbek tourists visiting Egypt rose sharply in 2025, with the country emerging as one of the most popular foreign destinations for travellers from Uzbekistan, according to regional tourism reports.

Egypt’s iconic landmarks, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and historical sites in Cairo and Luxor, remain key attractions. At the same time, Red Sea resorts such as Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada are gaining popularity among Uzbek visitors seeking beach holidays and water sports.

Industry experts attribute the surge to expanded flight connectivity, including more direct routes by Uzbekistan Airways and EgyptAir, as well as simplified travel procedures and visa-on-arrival options. Improved accessibility has reduced travel costs and boosted demand for Middle Eastern destinations among Uzbekistan’s growing middle class.

Tourism authorities in both countries are also strengthening cooperation through promotional campaigns and cultural exchange initiatives aimed at sustaining the upward trend.

Analysts say Egypt is likely to remain a top destination for Uzbek travelers in the coming years, as demand for international leisure travel continues to grow and regional tourism ties deepen.
