Authorities say the blaze was contained as explosions across the region raise fears of wider conflict

A fire at a hotel in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah area has been linked to a suspected Iranian strike, with local officials confirming several people were injured.

The Dubai Media Office said the blaze was contained and the site secured, urging the public to remain calm and rely on official information. Authorities did not provide full details on the cause, describing the event only as an «incident» in the area.

Emergency services responded after reports of a loud explosion, and initial accounts suggested the fire may have been triggered by debris from an intercepted aerial attack amid escalating regional tensions.

The incident comes as Iran reportedly launches retaliatory strikes across the Middle East following U.S. and Israeli military actions. Explosions have been reported in multiple countries hosting U.S. forces, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan.

Several Gulf states have condemned the escalation, warning of broader regional risks and calling for restraint as tensions continue to rise.
