Senior Iranian Leaders Reportedly Killed in U.S.-Israel Strikes: See the List
Several senior Iranian officials, including top military commanders, were reportedly killed during coordinated US-Israeli strikes on key targets across Iran, according to multiple media and intelligence reports.
The operation, launched on February 28, targeted strategic sites including nuclear facilities, missile infrastructure and bases linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Areas near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s compound in Tehran were also reportedly struck.
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Khamenei had been killed, calling the operation a major success. However, details surrounding the Supreme Leader’s fate remain contested.
Reports citing sources familiar with the operation said Iran’s Defence Minister Amir Nasirzadeh and IRGC commander Mohammed Pakpour were among those believed to have been killed. Other figures reportedly targeted include Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Khamenei, along with an unnamed military adviser.

Some reports also suggested that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian may have been targeted, though his status remains unclear.
The strikes mark a major escalation in the conflict and have heightened fears of broader regional retaliation as tensions across the Middle East continue to rise.
