Nearly 800 people have been killed in Iran since the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Saturday, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

A separate estimate from the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA) reported 742 civilian deaths, including 176 children.

Fatemeh Mohammadbeigi, a member of Iran’s parliamentary health commission, said nine hospitals across the country had been struck, accusing both Israel and the U.S. of deliberately targeting medical facilities.

The Israeli military rejected claims that Gandhi Hospital in Tehran had been targeted, saying the strike in the area was not directed at the hospital itself. Iran’s foreign ministry, however, repeated accusations that the facility had been attacked.

In a separate statement, the Israeli Defence Forces said its air force carried out strikes on a leadership compound used by Iran’s government. The military said «numerous munitions» were dropped on the presidential office and the Supreme National Security Council building.

According to the IDF, a military training institution and other key government infrastructure were also hit. The compound was previously used by Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in U.S.-Israeli strikes at his residence over the weekend.
