Marjorie Taylor Greene has sharply criticised Donald Trump after the United States joined Israel in military strikes against Iran, marking a growing rift between the Republican figures.

Speaking on The Megyn Kelly Show, Greene condemned the decision and accused Trump of abandoning his earlier promises to avoid foreign conflicts.

«This is not what we voted for. It’s absolutely America last,» she said during the interview.

Trump recently suggested the conflict could last four to five weeks or longer, raising concerns among some of his supporters about the possibility of deeper U.S. involvement.

Greene, once one of Trump’s most vocal allies in Congress, has increasingly distanced herself from the president in recent months. She previously criticised his support for Israel during the Gaza conflict and also pushed for the full release of files related to the case of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

During the interview, Greene also questioned Trump’s mental state after he repeatedly suggested he might attempt to run for a third presidential term, an idea that would face significant constitutional hurdles in the United States.

Trump has dismissed speculation about his health and cognitive condition, saying he has «aced» cognitive tests and received positive evaluations from doctors.

The public criticism highlights growing tensions within parts of Trump’s political base as debate continues over U.S. foreign policy and the country’s role in the Middle East.
