Home favourite Oscar Piastri set the fastest lap of the day in the second practice session for the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park.
The McLaren driver posted a 1:19.729, finishing just over two-tenths ahead of Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli, who took second. George Russell completed a Mercedes one-two-three, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc rounding out the top five.
Max Verstappen and reigning champion Lando Norris were sixth and seventh fastest, while Cadillac’s Sergio Perez was unable to record a timed lap.
