Lipton Offers Reward for Missing KitKat Cargo as Jagermeister “Confesses”

Lipton Ice Tea has offered a reward for information regarding the recent theft of 12 tonnes of KitKat chocolate.
In a social media post formatted as an official statement, the beverage company offered condolences to the chocolate manufacturer. Lipton pledged 1,000 bottles of iced tea to anyone providing materially valuable information about the missing cargo.
The shipment of 413,793 KitKat bars disappeared in transit between a factory in central Italy and Poland.
Following KitKat’s confirmation of the incident, drinks brand Jagermeister issued a humorous confession. The company claimed responsibility for the missing chocolate by stating they ate the entire shipment after a Saturday night out. The brand added «we are not sorry» and declared they would do it again.
The theft has prompted reactions from multiple other global brands. KFC joked they stole the cargo to test a new herb and spice. Delivery service DoorDash told users a packaging error left 12 tonnes of KitKats in their inventory and asked customers to add the items to their delivery orders.

Fast food chains Domino’s and MTL announced fictional (or not?) KitKat-flavoured pizzas and bagels. Ryanair also participated by posting an edited image of an aeroplane eating the chocolate bars.
