South Korean music phenomenons BTS are preparing to ignite the global stage once again as they kick off their highly anticipated «Arirang» world tour.
Beginning this Thursday with a spectacular three-night residency at Goyang Stadium just northwest of Seoul, the monumental trek is officially slated to become the largest and most ambitious concert tour ever undertaken by a K-pop act.
Redefining the live experience
The Goyang concerts will serve as the opening chapter for a staggering 85 performances spanning 34 major cities worldwide. The meticulously planned international itinerary includes stops in major cultural hubs such as Tokyo, Los Angeles, Munich, Paris, Toronto, Lima, Santiago and Bangkok.

Moving away from traditional end-stage configurations, the tour will primarily feature massive 360-degree stage setups constructed within top-tier stadiums and domes, Yonhap reports. This innovative production design will offer an unrivalled immersive visual experience and allow the band to connect with their audience from every possible angle.
Unprecedented global demand
Demand for the septet’s return to the road has been nothing short of astronomical. According to international tour promoter Live Nation, 46 shows have already completely sold out. This includes the initial South Korean dates alongside the entire North American and European legs of the tour.
The staggering ticket sales highlight the group’s enduring global dominance. Live Nation confirmed that approximately 2.4 mln tickets were snapped up in record time for the 41 North American and European dates alone, leaving millions of fans hoping for additional dates to be added to the calendar.

Celebrating the cultural roots of «Arirang»
Fans attending the stadium shows can expect an explosive setlist blending the group’s extensive catalogue of chart-topping global hits with fresh material from their latest studio album.
Also titled «Arirang», the album has already proven to be a massive commercial and critical success. It dominated the prestigious Billboard 200 chart for two consecutive weeks upon release.
The album’s title pays homage to Korea’s most famous traditional folk song, signalling a deeply personal era for the band that weaves classical Korean musical motifs into their signature modern pop sound.

A worldwide economic phenomenon
Beyond the music, the massive global trek is poised to generate a significant economic ripple effect. Host cities across the globe are already preparing for the massive influx of international fans, with local hospitality, transport and retail sectors anticipating a massive boost in revenue.
The «Arirang» tour represents far more than just a musical showcase; it is a cultural event of unprecedented scale that further cements BTS’s legacy as one of the most influential musical acts of the 21st century.
