A senior delegation from Azerbaijan’s state energy company SOCAR held talks with Uzbekistan’s national oil and gas firm Uzbekneftegaz on April 9 to deepen bilateral cooperation.

SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova met with Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Abdugani Sanginov during a visit to Uzbekistan, where both sides reviewed current collaboration and explored opportunities for expansion.

The companies highlighted the «dynamic» development of their relationship, linking it to the broader strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Discussions also covered progress on a joint geological exploration project in the Ustyurt region, alongside other areas of mutual interest in the energy sector.
