Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has taken delivery of a custom-built Riva 102’ Corsaro Super, expanding his maritime fleet during a private launch ceremony at the Ferretti Group’s La Spezia shipyard on Thursday.

The Monegasque racing driver already owns a Riva 82’ Diva. Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi stated that the repeat purchase underscores the Italian brand’s engineering and aesthetic appeal.

«Charles’s passion for Riva, which is of course reciprocal, is a testament to quality and beauty that we welcome with boundless joy,» Galassi said, adding that the driver’s choice highlights the vessel’s «unrivalled standards of beauty, liveability and technology.»

Yacht specifications

Representing the 20th hull in the 102-foot series, the yacht was designed through a collaboration between the Ferretti Group and Officina Italiana Design. It is powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines that push the vessel to a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. Advanced maritime technology includes Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers, Sleipner Vector Fins and Hydrotab Interceptor trim tabs to minimise rolling.

The interior layout was heavily personalised to the driver’s specifications. The master suite features custom door handles, an integrated Bang & Olufsen multimedia system and a bathroom sculpted from polished Calacatta Vagli Oro marble. To maintain a consistent aesthetic, guest facilities utilise Corian Calacatta Greige surfaces. Luxury appointments throughout the vessel include Poliform furniture, Frette linens and Christofle tableware.

On the exterior decks, Minotti seating and Jim Thompson cushions provide open-air lounging areas. The flybridge houses a custom galley fitted with an induction hob, an oversized grill, dual refrigerators and an ice maker for entertaining guests. At the stern, a 35-square-metre beach club offers immediate ocean access and is paired with a specialised inflatable platform equipped with a hauling ramp and a swim ladder.

The yacht was named «Sedici» which translates from Italian as «16th».
