After the Golden State Warriors fell just short of the NBA playoffs, four-time champion Draymond Green has found himself with an unexpectedly early start to the summer. Rather than heading straight to the gym, Green opted for a different kind of high-pressure environment, making a surprise appearance at the star-studded «Roast of Kevin Hart» on Netflix.
The event, which has quickly climbed the charts on global streaming platforms, featured a heavy-hitting lineup of icons. Amongst the crowd was Hollywood powerhouse Dwayne Johnson, whose long-standing comedic rivalry with Kevin Hart provided the perfect backdrop for the evening’s savage humour.
Green faces the heat
While Green is known for his aggressive style of play and on-court outbursts, he had to sit back and take the hits as some of the biggest names in sports and comedy took aim at him.
- Tom Brady: The NFL legend didn’t hold back, referencing Green’s recent disciplinary issues: «Draymond Green is here. Draymond’s here, for now. He’ll probably get thrown out in the next 10 minutes.»
- Jeff Ross: The «Roastmaster General» targeted Green’s reliance on his teammates: «Steph Curry couldn’t make it tonight, but he did carry Draymond Green all the way here.»
- Shane Gillis: The comedian delivered a biting comparison regarding Green’s career accolades: «Draymond Green has four NBA Championships the way Ringo Starr has 11 No. 1 albums.»

Much of the buzz surrounding the roast has focused on the chemistry between the guests, particularly the presence of Dwayne Johnson. Known for his «bromance» and frequent collaborations with Kevin Hart, Johnson’s presence added an extra layer of star power to the proceedings, ensuring the roast trended heavily across social media.
Green, however, refused to be a passive target. He managed to fire back at the host, delivering a sharp burn on Hart that mocked his own well-documented struggles with three-point shooting.
With the Warriors’ season in the rearview mirror, Green’s foray into the world of Hollywood roasts alongside the likes of Dwayne «The Rock» Johnson and Tom Brady suggests he is more than comfortable under the bright lights of the entertainment world while he awaits the start of the next NBA campaign.
