Uzbekistan Unveils 2026 World Cup Squad: Pakhtakor Leads Domestic Call-Ups

According to sports outlet Championat.Asia, Pakhtakor has supplied the highest number of players from the Uzbekistan Super League to the national squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

The reigning champions have delegated four athletes to the tournament. Other domestic clubs are also well represented, with Neftchi providing three players, while Nasaf, Dinamo and Navbahor have each contributed two.

Group stage fixtures

Uzbekistan has been drawn into a competitive group and will face Portugal, Colombia and DR Congo. Their World Cup campaign kicks off on June 18 against the Colombian side. Following this, they will take on Portugal on June 24 before concluding their group stage fixtures against DR Congo on June 28.

Base camp and facilities

The squad will be based at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. Their tournament matches are also scheduled to take place in the same city at the spectacular Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The top-tier training complex provides everything the national team needs to prepare, boasting six football pitches, four with natural grass and two with artificial turf, alongside a pair of dedicated warm-up areas. Furthermore, the facility includes a modern medical centre and an expansive 1,800-square-metre media hub. This state-of-the-art media space is fully equipped with shooting and photo areas, a press conference room and a studio for recording podcasts.
