Jensen Huang, the chief executive of the American microchip giant Nvidia, has made his inaugural television appearance in South Korea. The tech billionaire featured on the hit tvN talk programme «You Quiz on the Block», which is fronted by the well-known comedian Yoo Jae-suk.
Preview clips released on Monday revealed Huang sporting his trademark black leather jacket while dancing to the immensely popular track «Golden». The song is part of the original soundtrack for the Netflix animated feature «KPop Demon Hunters». Filmed against the backdrop of traditional Korean houses known as hanok, the CEO enthusiastically remarked:
«Who doesn’t love Golden?»
During the interview, the tech boss also expressed his admiration for the K-pop artist Hwasa. He specifically mentioned her recent tracks «Good Goodbye» and «So Cute» while praising her musical talents.
«I do also love Hwasa… She’s a very good dancer, a good singer,» he told the host.
Huang’s television debut forms part of a busy four-day visit to South Korea. His professional itinerary is currently filled with high-level meetings involving prominent business leaders and the heads of major gaming farms.
The highly anticipated episode featuring the Nvidia chief is scheduled to be broadcast on Wednesday at 8:45 pm local time.
