Reality TV personality and former glamour model Katie Price has refused to pay £140,000 to secure the release of her husband, Lee Andrews, who is currently being held in a Dubai prison over a civil legal dispute.

According to reports, Price initially believed Andrews could be released after paying a much smaller sum, but later learned that authorities required £140,000 due to a separate ongoing legal case. Despite Andrews allegedly urging her to raise the money, including through a crowdfunding campaign, Price has declined. She said she would «never give a man money» and insisted she has always been the financial provider in her relationships.

The development comes as Price faces money pressures of her own. The 48-year-old recently revealed she had to pay £1,400 in outstanding parking fines, adding to a history of financial difficulties that previously included bankruptcy proceedings.

Price married Andrews in Dubai earlier this year after a whirlwind romance. However, several of his former partners have accused him of financial misconduct, allegations that he denies. Price has said she plans to confront her husband once he is released and warned that their marriage could end if she is not satisfied with his explanations.

Andrews remains in custody in Dubai while legal proceedings continue.
