Abdukodir Khusanov, the formidable defender for both the Uzbekistan national squad and Manchester City, has taken time out to visit a television cameraman who was hurt during a recent World Cup clash against Colombia.

The unfortunate incident unfolded midway through the match. While fiercely contesting possession, the footballer sprinted past the touchline and accidentally crashed directly into the broadcaster who was positioned right at the edge of the pitch.

Following the final whistle, representatives from the Uzbekistan camp made it a priority to check on the cameraman to ensure his condition was stable and not a cause for serious concern. Khusanov personally expressed his deepest regrets regarding the accidental impact, offered the injured man words of encouragement and checked on his overall wellbeing.

To make amends for the heavy touchline tumble, the defender gifted the broadcast worker a personally signed shirt and wished him a remarkably swift recovery. National team officials noted that the Manchester City star was eager to show his support and clear the air following the physical heat of the game.

The fixture itself was a landmark occasion, serving as Uzbekistan’s highly anticipated debut on the global World Cup stage. Despite a spirited effort, the historic night ultimately ended in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the South American giants.

The squad affectionately known as the White Wolves must now regroup and refocus their efforts. They are scheduled to face off against the Portuguese national team in their crucial upcoming group stage match on June 23.
