Former Enhypen vocalist Heeseung is officially stepping back into the spotlight as a solo artist under the new stage name Evan. His management company Belift Lab has confirmed that the singer’s debut solo single, «Ride or Die», will be released on Monday.

The highly anticipated musical return comes after the K-pop star departed the popular boy band in March to focus on his own creative journey. Until now, the agency had remained tight-lipped regarding any official timeline for his solo endeavours.

The upcoming release will feature two contrasting tracks. Fans can expect the alternative rock lead single «Ride or Die» to be accompanied by a relaxed indie-pop B-side called «Overflow».

According to his management team, Evan has been heavily involved in every aspect of the project. He took creative control over the entire production process, directly contributing to the songwriting, composition, producing and overall visual direction.

In a public statement released via his agency, the artist reflected on his personal growth.

«For everyone, life is a process of finding one’s true self,» he explained. «As I continue making music, I believe I will discover the most authentic version of myself.»

He also shared his desire for the new tracks to provide his listeners with a sense of comfort.

«Just as the music of artists I loved gave me strength, I hope my music can become not only a source of hope but even a reason to keep going for someone,» he added.
