Uzbek footballer Abbosbek Fayzullaev tied the knot on July 4 this year. Videos featuring the venue, the guests and the newlyweds quickly went viral across the Uzbek segment of Instagram.

The wedding festivities were held at the Zomin to’yxona premium restaurant located in the city of Gulistan within the Syrdarya region.

According to a report by Sports.kz, the athlete hosted an engagement ceremony earlier in May. While details about his new wife remain largely private, it is known that she hails from the Chust district in the Namangan region. The wedding follows a deeply personal milestone on the pitch for Fayzullaev. In June, he dedicated his World Cup goal against Colombia to his family and his then-future wife.

Born on October 3, 2003 in Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region, Fayzullaev relocated to Tashkent during his childhood to train at the Pakhtakor football academy. He made his breakthrough into professional football in May 2021 when he debuted for the senior Pakhtakor squad.

Despite his rising international profile, the footballer remains firmly grounded in his roots. In an interview with the Championat portal, Fayzullaev shared that his father works in a pharmacy and his mother is a housewife. He revealed that his mother only recently started watching his matches, as she initially disapproved of his career choice out of fear for his physical safety.

“I never tell her about my injuries; on the contrary, I say everything is fine,” he admitted to the publication. “I wouldn’t tell her even if I broke my leg.”

As of July 5, the sports database Transfermarkt placed Abbosbek Fayzullaev’s transfer value at €7 mln. The Uzbek international currently plies his trade for the Turkish club Basaksehir where he plays alongside his compatriot Eldor Shomurodov.
