Comic Con Tashkent 2026 will bring several international names from video games, television and animation to Humo Arena on August 15-16, with the guest line-up led by actors associated with Grand Theft Auto V, Stranger Things and Game of Thrones.
The biggest draw is American actor Shawn Fonteno, who provided the voice and likeness for Franklin Clinton, one of the central characters in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V. Fonteno’s appearance gives fans of the long-running video game franchise a chance to meet the performer behind one of its most recognisable characters.
Fonteno is not the only international guest announced for the Tashkent festival. The programme also features Randy Havens, known for playing teacher Scott Clarke in Netflix’s Stranger Things, and Kristian Nairn, who portrayed Hodor in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
From GTA V to Westeros and Hawkins
Havens became familiar to Stranger Things viewers through his role as Mr Clarke, the science teacher whose lessons and curiosity repeatedly helped the young characters make sense of unusual events in Hawkins.
Nairn, meanwhile, became widely recognised as Hodor in Game of Thrones. The character appeared throughout the series and became one of its most memorable figures.
The guest list also reaches beyond live-action entertainment. Alina Kovaleva and Dmitry Vdovenko, creators of the animated project Metal Family, are scheduled to attend the festival. The series has developed an international fan base around its mix of animation, music and comedy.
The organisers are putting the international guests at the centre of the two-day programme, with autograph and photo sessions among the activities planned for visitors. The festival will also feature cosplay competitions, gaming areas, an artists’ alley and a merchandise market.
Comic Con Tashkent’s previous edition attracted more than 11,000 visitors, according to the festival’s official website. The 2026 event will again bring together fans of films, television, video games, anime, comics and cosplay under one roof.
