Tottenham has agreed a deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho for an initial £75mn fee.

The transfer includes a further £10mn in potential add-ons. The 22-year-old Brazilian is scheduled to undergo a medical before finalising a long-term contract with the north London club.

Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi secured the forward after the club failed in a bid to sign him last year. Savinho elected to stay at the Etihad Stadium last season but struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola, making just seven Premier League starts.

The acquisition shifts Tottenham’s focus to attacking reinforcements after the club invested a combined £185mn in midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle.

Savinho’s arrival will push the club’s summer spending beyond the £300mn mark. They have partially offset this outlay by recouping approximately £140mn through the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.

De Zerbi’s recruitment drive appears far from over. Talks are progressing positively for Savinho’s City teammate Omar Marmoush. The Egypt forward fell down the pecking order in Manchester last season following a £59mn transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025.

Spurs also retain an interest in Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo, though it remains unclear whether the club can finance deals for both Gakpo and Marmoush alongside Savinho.

Tottenham open their Premier League campaign at Brentford on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. BST while Manchester City host Bournemouth on Sunday at 2 p.m. BST.
