Shakira is in talks to perform at a new 51,000-seat stadium in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek this November, potentially delivering one of Central Asia’s biggest concerts. But fans should keep their passports and wallets shut for now: no date or confirmation appears on the diva’s official tour calendar.
Kanybek Tumanbaev, head of Kyrgyzstan’s presidential administration, teased the appearance on social media with the message, «Would you like to see her at Bishkek Arena? Waiting for that?» Local outlet 24.kg later reported that negotiations with the star’s representatives were continuing, with November proposed as the likely window.
That makes the announcement a credible attempt to secure the singer so far, not a confirmed tour date. The promoter, the precise date, ticket prices, and the sales platform are still unknown.
Shakira’s official website currently lists upcoming performances elsewhere, including Egypt in late November, but no Kyrgyzstan date. Until the artist or an authorised promoter adds Bishkek, accommodation and unofficial tickets are risky purchases.
It is also unclear whether the performance would join Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

Bishkek Arena scouts for top headliners
Bishkek Arena introduced itself to the world on 31 August when it hosted the opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games. Leaders and athletes gathered inside the new venue as Kyrgyzstan staged a military parade, cultural performances and a large-scale light show, Reuters reported.
The football stadium, built in Orok on Bishkek’s south-western edge, holds 51,000 spectators. That makes it the largest stadium in Central Asia by stated capacity. The roughly US$60 million development was designed for football and major entertainment events, according to StadiumDB.

A Shakira concert would provide an immediate stress test: can the venue sell tens of thousands of tickets, manage transport and security and attract visitors from neighbouring countries?
Central Asia’s race for global acts
Bishkek is entering a regional market that its neighbours are already testing. Jennifer Lopez performed at Tashkent’s National Stadium in August 2025, while Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann’s January show in the Uzbek capital reportedly drew about half its audience from abroad.
Almaty has also explored concerts by Shakira and Eminem. Yet its city administration said in April that it had not secured any final agreements, venues or dates.
