Suki Waterhouse has joked she will happily embrace nepotism to help her daughter navigate the entertainment industry.

In an interview with Nylon, the 34-year-old singer and actress discussed motherhood and her future plans for her 2-year-old child with her fiancé Robert Pattinson. When asked whether she would discourage her daughter from following in her parents’ footsteps, Waterhouse’s response was unapologetic.

«Why would I advise against it? I’d be nepo-babying the hell out of her,» she told the publication. After making the remark, the star realised how blunt the answer sounded, laughing as she added, «Oh no. Why didn’t I just keep that inside?»

Waterhouse and Pattinson welcomed their first child in March 2024 and have kept details about the toddler strictly private. The couple has yet to publicly share their daughter’s name. While she may be willing to help her child secure roles in the future, the musician noted that becoming a mother has fundamentally shifted her current career priorities.

The actress revealed she now turns down more work opportunities to safeguard her schedule. Waterhouse explained that returning home after late nights in the recording studio has made her far more selective about the projects she accepts because she simply wants to be present with her family.

The toddler is already starting to understand her parents’ unique careers. Waterhouse noted that her daughter can distinguish between her mother’s rock star persona and her daily routine, and she refers to Pattinson as «Daddy Batman» in reference to his starring role in «The Batman Part II.»

Beyond discussing motherhood, Suki Waterhouse reflected on her recent experience opening for Taylor Swift during the Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium. The singer described the performance as surreal, noting that seeing 90,000 empty red seats during soundcheck felt significantly more intimidating than the actual concert.

She praised Swift’s endurance, expressing disbelief that the pop star could maintain such an intense touring schedule for an entire year.
