South Korean pop group BTS will broadcast their upcoming Latin American stadium shows directly to global cinemas this October. The live viewings will stream from their «Arirang» world tour stops in Argentina and Brazil.
Trafalgar Releasing, HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC announced that the event marks the band’s first live cinema broadcast from the continent. Tickets for the screenings go on sale September 17 at 2 p.m. BST. The project aims to connect international fans who cannot attend the concerts.
Several companies have already launched online pages for the theatrical run ahead of the official ticketing date. Worldwide distributor Trafalgar Releasing has published official event portals. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes currently displays the Buenos Aires broadcast for October 24.
US chain Harkins lists both the Buenos Aires and São Paulo screenings on its website. AMC Theatres is also participating in the cinema programme following its previous live-viewing releases for the tour. In New Zealand Rialto Cinemas has the São Paulo show scheduled for October 31, with screening times to be confirmed.
Stadium shows hit the big screen
Audiences in the Americas can watch the Argentine concert on October 24 live from Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata. The rest of the world will receive a delayed screening on October 25 to accommodate local time zones. The Brazilian leg at São Paulo’s Estádio MorumBIS will reach cinemas in the Americas on October 30 and globally the following day. These two performances serve as the finale for the Latin American portion of the tour.
Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby highlighted the cultural significance of the cinematic events. He noted the broadcasts will showcase the group’s debut performance in Argentina while capturing the energy of both South American crowds for an international audience.
Record-breaking stage design
The theatrical releases follow similar successful broadcasts from Goyang, Tokyo and Busan earlier this year. The «Arirang» tour features a 360-degree stage design that has driven record-breaking box office figures. This setup helped the tour gross more than double its closest competitor on the Billboard Top Tours chart this past April.
Released in March, the septet’s fifth studio album of the same name topped the Billboard 200 chart, along with its lead single, «Swim.» The live screenings capitalise on the momentum of their recent accolades, including consecutive Artist of the Year wins at the American Music Awards.
After completing their Latin American obligations, RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will resume their tour across Asia in late November. Scheduled stops include Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The global trek will conclude in early 2027 with a final run of dates throughout Australia and the Philippines.
