More than 521,000 people joined virtual queues in a fierce scramble to secure tickets for the debut BTS concerts in Peru, underscoring the massive anticipation ahead of the group’s arrival in Lima.
The South Korean musical act will take the stage at Estadio San Marcos on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. These dates represent the second stop on the South American leg of their Arirang world tour.
While the exact capacity for each night remains undisclosed, local authorities expect the three shows to draw a combined crowd of between 96,000 and 156,000 attendees.

According to PromPeru, the national export and tourism promotion agency, the unprecedented demand for tickets highlights the cultural impact of the band across the region. The sheer volume of fans vying for entry has prompted widespread celebrations throughout the capital.
Citywide celebrations and tourism push
To mark the historic event, the Santiago de Surco district temporarily rebranded Calle Sacramento as Avenida BTS. The new street signs will remain in place until Sunday to welcome international visitors.
Local landmarks are also participating in the festivities. The Arco Morisco at Parque de la Amistad is currently glowing purple and hosting nightly dedicated light displays. Simultaneously, the Circuito Magico del Agua features a themed programme combining music, architectural lighting and water-screen projections.

Fans are matching the city’s enthusiasm by organising a tribute drone show at the Costa Verde coastal strip, an event billed as a first for South America.
The sudden influx of concertgoers has caught the attention of the national tourism sector. Officials view the concerts as a prime opportunity to showcase Peruvian cuisine and cultural heritage. The official Peru Travel platform is actively encouraging visiting fans to explore destinations outside the capital such as Paracas and Machu Picchu.
BTS launched their South American tour earlier this month with back-to-back performances for roughly 100,000 fans at Estadio El Campin in Bogota, Colombia. Following the Lima residency, the group will continue their continent-spanning schedule with appearances in Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
