Motorola has confirmed it will unveil full details of its upcoming Razr Fold on March 2, offering the clearest look yet at one of the most anticipated alternatives to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series.

The company teased the announcement in a social media post, saying «every detail» of the foldable will be revealed at the start of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona. The event is expected to mark the device’s official move from preview to full launch stage.

The Razr Fold was first teased in early January, but key specifications, including battery capacity, dimensions and pricing, have remained under wraps. So far, Motorola has confirmed an 8.1-inch primary foldable display, a 6.6-inch cover screen and a triple 50MP camera setup, along with stylus support.

The upcoming reveal is expected to clarify whether the device can compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup, which currently dominates the large foldable market. Analysts say pricing will be a critical factor, as Motorola has historically positioned its foldables below Samsung’s flagship models.

While the March 2 showcase is likely to focus on specifications and features, it remains unclear whether Motorola will announce a global release date. The timing could prove crucial, as delays may push the Razr Fold closer to the expected launch window of Samsung’s next-generation foldables later this year.

If competitively priced and launched quickly, the Razr Fold could become one of Motorola’s most significant premium devices in years, signaling a stronger push into the high-end foldable smartphone market.
