China and Russia accounted for the largest share of Uzbekistan’s imports during the first four months of 2026, according to data from the National Statistics Committee reported by Trend News Agency.

The figures highlight the continued importance of the two countries in supplying goods to Uzbekistan as the country’s foreign trade activity expands. Overall imports reached $16.3 bn between January and April, reflecting strong demand for industrial equipment, consumer goods, raw materials, and technology products.

China maintained its position as Uzbekistan’s leading source of imports, while Russia remained one of the country’s key trading partners. The import structure underscores Uzbekistan’s close economic ties with major regional economies and its reliance on international supply chains to support domestic growth.

The latest trade statistics come as Uzbekistan continues to pursue economic modernization and expand international trade links, with authorities seeking to diversify both import sources and export markets.
