LN4 Fusion was established in September 2026 by Norris and an investment group headed by businessman Dan Richards. The team has since been preparing to compete in multiple championships, with Formula 2 becoming the highest level of its operations.
Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel welcomed the newcomer, saying the selection process had attracted considerable interest from racing teams worldwide. He also highlighted the experience LN4 Fusion would bring to the championship.

LN4 Fusion prepares for four racing championships
The team plans to enter Italian Formula 4, the Formula Regional European Championship, Formula 3 and Formula 2 in 2027.
Its Formula 3 programme is already taking shape following the acquisition of assets from AIX Racing. Gabriel Gomez and James Egozi have been named as drivers for next season, although LN4 Fusion has yet to reveal who will represent it in Formula 2.
Several experienced motorsport figures have joined the project. Former Prema Racing team principal René Rosin will oversee sporting operations, while Guillaume Capietto, who previously served as Prema’s technical chief, will take on the role of racing director.
Dan Hazlewood, a motorsport specialist with more than 25 years of experience, will manage the team’s activities in Britain.
LN4 Fusion CEO Dan Richards welcomed the Formula 2 entry, describing the team’s acceptance into the championship so soon after its creation as an important milestone.
He also acknowledged the work ahead as LN4 Fusion prepares to compete against teams with years of experience in the series.
The team will enter Formula 2 during a period of technical changes. The championship plans to introduce revised aerodynamics in 2027, although competitors will continue using Dallara chassis powered by 3.4-litre turbocharged Mecachrome engines.
Norris finished second in the 2018 Formula 2 standings, then joined McLaren in Formula 1 in 2019. He went on to win his first world championship in 2025.
With LN4 Fusion now confirmed for Formula 2, the project will cover four major stages of junior single-seater racing, giving young drivers opportunities to progress through the categories within the same organisation.
