Uzbekistan Launches Factoring Company to Boost Export Support

A new factoring company, with a capital of $100 mln, will be established in Uzbekistan to support exporters. This announcement was made during a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As part of the initiative, a portion of the costs for product certification will be reimbursed to enterprises, and laboratory equipment used for research will be exempt from customs duties. Additionally, $2 mln will be allocated to promote local products on international platforms.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that President Mirziyoyev criticised state companies and agencies for their shortcomings in investment policy.
