Sebastian Vettel is set to take part in this year’s London Marathon, marking a new challenge for the four-time Formula 1 world champion since his retirement in 2022.

He will run the 26.2-mile race through the British capital alongside Tom Clarkson, a Formula 1 journalist and host of the Beyond The Grid podcast.

The pair will raise funds for the Grand Prix Trust, which supports current and former Formula 1 personnel, and the Brain & Spine Foundation. The charity was established by Sid Watkins and focuses on helping people affected by neurological conditions.

Since stepping away from racing, Vettel has remained active through a range of initiatives linked to environmental and social causes. These include biodiversity projects, awareness campaigns on deforestation and events promoting inclusion in motorsport.

Vettel enjoyed a highly successful Formula 1 career, winning 53 Grands Prix and securing four world titles across 299 race starts. He raced for teams including BMW Sauber, Toro Rosso, Red Bull, Ferrari and Aston Martin before retiring from the sport.
