Central Asia and Caucasus Economies Set for Sustained 6-7% Annual Growth

Economic output across the Caucasus and Central Asia is projected to achieve an average annual growth rate of 6% to 7% over the coming years. This forecast was recently presented by the analytical firm INFOline during the Central Asia Warehouse Summit Uzbekistan.
The agency anticipates that Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product will maintain a trajectory of steady expansion. While the nation’s economic volume was valued at $145 bn in 2025, analysts expect this figure to surge to $195 bn by the end of 2029.
Robust economic development is also visible across neighbouring states in the region. According to the latest projections, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP is on track to hit $11 bn. Similarly, the economies of both Armenia and Azerbaijan are expected to experience consistent and gradual progression.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s economic output is forecast to balloon to $387 bn by 2029, a stark contrast to the $171 bn recorded in 2020.
These regional insights follow recent expectations published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which predicts that the Uzbek economy will expand by 6.8% this year before settling at a 6% growth rate in 2027. This follows a strong performance last year when the country’s growth rate reached 7.7%.
