My Freighter Expands Fleet With New Boeing 767, Names After Uzbek Playwright

The Uzbek private cargo carrier My Freighter has officially expanded its aviation park with the arrival of a new Boeing 767. The aircraft, which landed on April 17 and carries the tail number UK67022, marks the tenth addition to the company’s growing fleet.
Continuing a recently established corporate tradition of honouring the nation’s most outstanding historical figures, the airline has named the new freighter after Abdulla Qodiriy.
Qodiriy is widely celebrated as one of the principal founders of modern Uzbek literature, a brilliant playwright and a dedicated public figure. He is best known for authoring the masterpieces Bygone Days and Scorpion from the Altar, both of which remain cornerstone classics of the country’s literary heritage.
As a prominent representative of the Jadid movement, which served as a vital early driver of civil society in Uzbekistan, Qodiriy used his platform to passionately explore themes of national identity, public enlightenment and social development. His progressive ideals and cultural contributions left an indelible mark on the nation’s history.
This naming convention is part of a broader initiative within the aviation group. It was first launched earlier this month on April 9 when partner passenger airline Centrum Air named its first aircraft in honour of the great military leader Amir Temur on the anniversary of his birth.
With the successful introduction of this latest Boeing 767, the combined operating fleet of both My Freighter and Centrum Air now stands at 25 aircraft.
