Etihad Airways Announces Direct Flights Between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent

Uzbekistan has successfully brokered a new aviation agreement with Etihad Airways to establish regular passenger flights connecting Tashkent with Abu Dhabi.
This development was finalised during a high-level meeting in the United Arab Emirates between Jasurbek Choriev, the Deputy Minister of Transport for Uzbekistan, and senior executives from the major international airline.
Commencing on August 17, the UAE’s national carrier will operate a direct service running the Tashkent-Abu Dhabi-Tashkent route.
The reinstatement of these flights will offer a massive boost to international mobility for passengers departing from Uzbekistan. Travellers will gain seamless access to Etihad’s extensive global network, which encompasses more than 70 destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and North America. Furthermore, passengers can expect highly convenient layovers when passing through the modern Abu Dhabi hub.
In a further bid to streamline international travel, Etihad Airways is currently in talks with Uzbekistan Airways to establish comprehensive interline and code-sharing agreements. If successful, this collaboration will enable holidaymakers and corporate flyers to purchase tickets for multi-leg connecting flights under a single unified booking.
