Air Premia Granted Approval to Launch Direct Flights to Tashkent
South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has officially authorised the airline Air Premia to begin operating flights to Tashkent.
As reported by the Yonhap news agency, the carrier is expected to run four weekly services connecting South Korea with the capital of Uzbekistan.
The route expansion does not stop there for Air Premia. The airline has also secured the necessary permissions to launch a new service to Kathmandu in Nepal. Furthermore, the government department issued additional international route approvals to other domestic operators, granting Eastar Airlines clearance to fly to Indonesia and giving Korean Air the green light for routes to New Zealand.
Headquartered at Incheon International Airport, Air Premia entered the commercial passenger market in 2021. The airline currently manages a mix of domestic routes within South Korea and long-haul international flights to destinations including Vietnam, Germany, Norway and various other nations.
As of April this year, the South Korean carrier’s fleet comprises nine Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. These planes have an average operational age of approximately eight years.
