Uzbekistan Reports no Hantavirus Cases, Health Officials Say

Officials say sanitary and epidemiological services continue surveillance and preventive measures despite no detected cases of the virus
Uzbekistan has not recorded any cases of hantavirus, and the country’s epidemiological situation remains stable, according to health authorities.
Nurmat Atabekov, First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee, said the virus has not been detected in the country and that specialists continue monitoring the public health situation.
Hantavirus is a rare infectious disease primarily spread through contact with infected rodents. Officials said Uzbekistan’s sanitary and epidemiological services are maintaining preventive measures and ongoing surveillance to ensure early detection of potential health risks.
