The world’s top 100 brands have collectively reached $13 trln in total value. This figure represents a 22% year-on-year increase, underscoring the commercial advantage of treating a brand as an asset rather than a cost.

Beyond the overall $13 trln benchmark, the report highlights significant growth in specific sectors. The top 20 brands within this single category now boast a combined total brand value of over $4.05 trln.

Kantar BrandZ is an annual analysis providing an evidence base on how brands create value over time. By combining human understanding with longitudinal data, it demonstrates how strong brands grow faster, recover quicker and deliver resilient returns.

The BrandZ rating system calculates the financial value of global brands in U.S. dollars. The methodology assesses how brands unlock growth by evaluating their «Meaningful Difference» and whether they lack a «Meaningful connection with consumers». It uses a strategic advisory engine to identify opportunities for brands to build momentum, support pricing and find new space for expansion.
