Regular Flights Scheduled to Connect Tashkent With Issyk-Kul From June
Regular scheduled flights are set to connect Tashkent with Tamchy, the main gateway to Kyrgyzstan’s famed Issyk-Kul resort region. The new route was finalised during a high-level meeting between Uzbekistan Airports and Kyrgyz carrier Asman Airlines.
The inaugural flight is provisionally scheduled to take off on June 24, 2026. Flights will be operated using De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft, which are well suited for regional routes. Looking ahead, Asman Airlines intends to expand its presence in the Uzbek capital by introducing additional routes from Tashkent to other key Kyrgyz destinations, including Osh, Karakol and the capital city of Bishkek.
Furthermore, aviation officials are exploring the possibility of launching reverse operations. This strategy would connect various cities in Kyrgyzstan directly to regional airports in Uzbekistan’s Fergana Valley, specifically targeting Andijan, Fergana and Namangan.
Asman Airlines is Kyrgyzstan’s state-owned carrier. Operating a modern fleet of Dash 8 Q400 aircraft, the airline has rapidly expanded its footprint, already running a mix of domestic services and established international flights to regional hubs such as Almaty and Khujand.
