South Korean music phenomenon BTS will bring their current «Arirang» world tour to the big screen next month, broadcasting their upcoming Busan concert live in cinemas across the globe, according to an announcement from their agency on Thursday.

BigHit Music confirmed that the second performance of the two-night stint, set for June 12 and 13, will be streamed directly from the Busan Asiad Main Stadium. The venue is situated roughly 330 kilometres southeast of the capital city, Seoul.

This expansive live viewing event is slated to hit more than 3,800 cinema screens spanning over 80 countries and regions. The initiative aims to provide international fans with a collective gig experience that completely transcends geographical boundaries.

To accommodate significant time zone variations, audiences situated in North America, South America and Europe will be treated to delayed screenings within a day or two of the live performance.

Domestic fans in South Korea will be able to catch the action at major multiplex franchises such as CGV, Lotte Cinema and Megabox.

The band are no strangers to this massive venue, having previously staged a monumental performance at the same Busan stadium in October 2022 to bolster the city’s campaign to host the 2030 World Expo.

Celebrating their 12th anniversary on June 13, the septet kicked off the ambitious «Arirang» tour last month in Goyang, just northwest of Seoul. In total, the massive global trek will encompass 85 shows spread across 34 different cities.
