Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner tied the knot, stunning fans with an intimate, low-key wedding in central London this past Saturday, The Sun reports. The couple exchanged vows at a register office in front of just eight close friends and family members.
The 30-year-old singer and the 36-year-old actor, who is currently rumoured to be a frontrunner to play the next James Bond, kept things wonderfully understated. However, the modest setting did not detract from the romance.
Onlookers noted that the groom was visibly moved during the service, with insiders revealing that Turner was in tears and shaking as he watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle.
Designer outfits and black cab getaway
Dua looked effortlessly chic, opting for a custom off-white Schiaparelli skirt and blazer. She completed the striking look with a wide-brimmed hat and Christian Louboutin heels. Her new husband complemented her perfectly in a sharp navy suit.
Following the brief ceremony, the newlyweds emerged from the iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall to a shower of confetti. Dua’s parents Dugi and Anesa, her sister Rina and her brother Gjin were all smiles as they celebrated the milestone. Security carefully managed the departure as the glamorous pair slipped away in a classic London black cab.
A staff member at the venue described the couple’s attire as exceptionally elegant, noting that the whole affair was remarkably swift and efficient. The modest nature of the event meant it largely flew under the radar, with one passerby mentioning they assumed it was simply an ordinary wedding.
The celebrations continued with a quiet, chic dinner for their nearest and dearest. The relaxed evening featured a few lighthearted jokes about the timing of the ceremony, which coincided with Arsenal’s Premier League victory parade happening nearby, much to the amusement of Dua’s father and manager Dugi, who is a massive fan of the football club.
Next stop: A sicilian extravaganza
This discreet London service is simply the legal precursor to a much larger celebration. The newlyweds are jetting off to Sicily later this week for a spectacular three-day extravaganza across multiple rented venues. Insiders reveal that the One Kiss singer has spent months meticulously planning the Italian celebration following Callum’s proposal in December 2024.
The upcoming Mediterranean bash promises a star-studded guest list featuring the likes of Charli XCX, Tove Lo and rumoured performer Sir Elton John. The couple reportedly drew inspiration from Charli XCX, who also hosted a lavish Sicilian wedding party last September after having her initial legal ceremony in the UK.
By choosing Old Marylebone Town Hall for their legal wedding, Dua and Callum join an elite club of British celebrities. The historic venue has hosted the nuptials of countless stars over the years, including television presenter Davina McCall, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
