Source Music announced on Friday that Kim Chaewon is set to officially reunite with her Le Sserafim bandmates starting next week.
The beloved group leader was forced to step back from her professional duties for a month to undergo treatment for severe neck pain. According to her agency, the artist has now made a sufficient recovery and is fully cleared to resume her regular promotional schedule.
Her temporary medical absence meant she unfortunately missed out on the core promotional cycle for «Boompala», the lead track from the group’s highly successful second studio album Pureflow Pt. 1.
Despite being a member down, the record has enjoyed a remarkably strong run on the Billboard 200. It has maintained a steady presence for three consecutive weeks after initially debuting at number 10. In its third week of release, the focal single also secured the number 176 and 108 spots on the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts respectively.
While Chaewon was resting, the remaining members continued their overseas push. Just last week, the group took to the stage in Los Angeles to deliver a special live performance hosted by iHeartRadio.
Looking ahead, the newly reunited quintet is heavily preparing to embark on their highly anticipated second international tour. The Pureflow tour is slated to kick off next month with two completely sold-out nights in Incheon.
