BTS member V has issued a polite but firm request to fans asking them to respect his privacy and refrain from gathering outside his hotel accommodations during the band’s ongoing «Arirang» world tour.
The global music icon shared his candid thoughts via a temporary Weverse Moment post on Wednesday. While taking care to express his deep appreciation for the group’s dedicated fanbase, known as Army, V explained that the constant presence of crowds at his lodgings is taking a toll and actively impacting his ability to perform.
To highlight the physical strain of the situation he shared a screenshot of his personal sleep tracking data. The metrics revealed he had managed a mere two and a half hours of rest. Furthermore his sleep stability was flagged with a «caution» warning detailing that he achieved just 14% REM sleep and 25% deep sleep.

🐻 We appreciate your welcome, but if possible, please refrain from visiting us in front of the hotel.
I don't want to share where I'm staying and it affects the condition of the performance
It's also very precious to me to go to famous… pic.twitter.com/mmMFGI98XE
In his heartfelt message the V emphasised how much he values his rare opportunities to explore the various cities on the tour schedule. He noted that quietly walking the local streets and dining at neighbourhood restaurants are precious moments of downtime for him and he urged his supporters to be considerate of his need for personal space.
The update was published at 8:59 pm Korean Standard Time, which corresponded to roughly 2:00 pm in Brussels where BTS are scheduled to perform on July 1 and 2. Following their Belgian engagements the record-breaking group will take their Arirang tour to London, Munich and Paris before continuing across the Americas and Asia through the end of the year.
