BTS vocalist V has become the first Korean male celebrity to amass 75 mln followers on Instagram. The milestone, reached on Tuesday, firmly positions him as the second most-followed male pop star globally behind Justin Bieber.
This latest digital achievement adds to the musician’s existing Guinness World Records. After launching his account alongside his bandmates in December 2021, V hit 1 mln followers in 43 minutes and scaled the 10 mln mark in under five hours.
His immense online influence was recently highlighted during an appearance at Celine’s spring/summer 2027 menswear show in Paris. Attending last month amidst the European leg of the septet’s «Arirang» tour, his presence generated approximately 22 mln social media interactions within a single 24-hour period.
The artist will return to the French capital next week for the final European performance of the tour before BTS heads to North America.
