Canadian rapper Drake recently followed BTS member Jungkook on Instagram, prompting intense online speculation regarding a potential musical collaboration between the two global stars.
Fans noticed the social media update on Friday. Jungkook currently stands as the only K-pop artist on the Canadian hitmaker’s following list. Industry observers quickly pointed out that the rapper frequently connects with other musicians online shortly before announcing joint projects.
The digital interaction stems from a series of recent public acknowledgements. In May, Drake directly referenced the South Korean boyband in his track «Make Them Cry,» rapping about how his career trajectory mirrored their massive global success. Shortly after the song’s debut, BTS members V and J-Hope shared a video reacting with surprise to the unexpected shoutout.
The momentum continued days later when Jungkook posted an Instagram reel of himself riding a motorbike set to the same Drake track. The brief clip proved wildly popular, amassing 10 mln views within two hours of uploading.
As of Monday, the K-pop idol has not returned the follow. The singer maintains a highly curated social media presence, tracking just eight accounts restricted to his bandmates, the official BTS page and a profile dedicated to his dog, Bam.
A joint track would add to a growing list of international partnerships for the South Korean vocalist. He has previously released music with Charlie Puth, Latto, Jack Harlow and DJ Snake.
