Besiktas Targets Atletico Striker Alexander Sorloth

Besiktas has turned its full attention to strengthening its attacking line, setting its sights on Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth. This tactical shift follows the club’s recent acquisition of Leandro Trossard, a move that successfully bolstered the team’s left flank.
The Black Eagles had previously explored transfer options involving Dusan Vlahovic and Romelu Lukaku. However, plans to sign the Serbian forward were shelved following a lack of response, while medical reports regarding the Napoli star were deemed unsatisfactory by the club leadership.
High-level talks for Norwegian forward
Besiktas President Serdal Adali held a direct meeting with his Atletico Madrid counterpart, Enrique Cerezo, to discuss the availability of the 30-year-old Norwegian international. The club management is currently evaluating the financial requirements of the transfer, including potential transfer fees and overall deal viability.
This is not the first time the Istanbul giants have attempted to secure the player’s services. Besiktas previously pursued Sorloth during the preceding season, though those negotiations failed to produce a final agreement. The board is now hoping for a more successful outcome in its latest attempt to bring the experienced forward to the Turkish Super Lig.
