The OnePlus N6x was officially launched in India on July 31, 2026, arriving as the newest entry-level smartphone in the company’s N series.
The device boasts a massive 7,000mAh battery and carries a starting price of Rs 18,999 ($190) for the base model featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Customers seeking more space can opt for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which is priced at Rs 20,999 ($210).
Sales for the new handset begin on August 4 at 12 p.m. via the official OnePlus website and other major e-commerce platforms. Early buyers can take advantage of an instant bank discount of Rs 1,500 ($15) using select credit cards to make the device more affordable. Buyers will find the smartphone available in two distinct colourways: Burgundy Red and Ice Blue.
OnePlus N6x display and core performance
At the heart of the OnePlus N6x is the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset. To ensure smooth operation during extended gaming or multitasking sessions, the manufacturer included a massive 5300mm-square vapour chamber cooling system. This advanced thermal management solution helps prevent thermal throttling and keeps the internal hardware operating at optimal temperatures. The handset also features Dynamic RAM technology, allowing users to allocate an additional 4GB of virtual memory to support background applications.
OnePlus N6x features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 by 1,570 pixels. It offers a 120Hz maximum refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 900 nits, providing users with a fluid viewing experience even under bright ambient light. The display incorporates an eye protection mode and supports a 19.6:9 aspect ratio. Out of the box, the handset runs on OxygenOS 16, which is based on the latest Android 16 operating system to ensure a modern software experience.
OnePlus N6x durability and camera hardware
OnePlus designed the N6x with rigorous longevity and physical toughness in mind. The device holds an MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, protecting it from accidental spills and harsh environmental conditions. Its 7,000mAh battery is engineered to deliver up to 2.5 days of power on a single charge. When depletion eventually occurs, it supports 15W wired fast charging alongside 5W wired reverse charging to act as a power bank for smaller accessories.
For photography, OnePlus N6x relies on a highly practical and straightforward camera setup. The rear panel houses a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and digital zoom capabilities up to 10x. A 5-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls effectively. Both cameras are capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second. Additional software features include various artificial intelligence photography tools like AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser and AI Unblur to instantly enhance image quality.
