Samsung is preparing to release the Galaxy S26 FE in early September, but a comprehensive leak has already exposed the smartphone’s complete hardware specifications. The upcoming Fan Edition device follows the company’s traditional strategy of blending older flagship components with the design language of the current S26 series.
According to a newly leaked datasheet, the S26 FE will run on the Exynos 2500 processor. This is the same 10-core, 3.3 GHz chip used in last year’s Galaxy S25 lineup. The processor is paired with 8 gigabytes of RAM and buyers can choose between 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. The handset will be available in three distinct colours: graphite, pistachio and blueberry.
The device features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 by 1080 pixels. This screen supports a maximum refresh rate of 120 hertz and can reach a peak brightness of 1900 nits in high-brightness mode, ensuring visibility in direct sunlight.
At 7.4 millimetres thick and weighing 193 grams, the S26 FE is IP68-certified for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options are robust, featuring Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and support for dual nano-SIMs alongside dual eSIM technology. Out of the box, it will run Android 17 overlaid with Samsung’s proprietary OneUI.
Upgraded cameras and battery life
The rear camera system utilises a triple-lens configuration. It includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor equipped with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom.
The front display houses a 12-megapixel fixed-focus camera. Videographers can record footage up to 8K at 30 frames per second or 4K at 60 fps using the primary sensors.
Powering the S26 FE is a 4900 mAh battery that supports 45-watt fast charging. It is officially rated for 1,200 charge cycles. This specific durability rating aligns with Samsung’s latest foldable devices, suggesting the manufacturer has implemented a silicon-carbon power cell.
Industry rumours indicate a retail price of €799. Market analysts suggest this pricing strategy could face resistance, as the standard Galaxy S26 Plus, which boasts superior cameras, a sharper display and higher base storage, is already retailing for roughly €700.
