Liverpool agree deal for Saint-Etienne teenager Djylian N’Guessan

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Saint-Etienne forward Djylian N’Guessan, with the 18-year-old expected to move to Anfield in summer 2027, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.
N’Guessan has also received permission to undergo a medical after Liverpool reached an agreement with the French club. He will remain at Saint-Etienne for the 2026-27 season before moving to Merseyside.

Born in August 2008, N’Guessan came through Saint-Etienne’s academy after joining the club in 2015. He made his senior debut at 16 and has since accumulated 13 first-team appearances. The versatile forward can operate as a central striker or on either wing.
Liverpool continue to invest in young talent
N’Guessan’s future arrival comes as Liverpool reshape their squad under new head coach Andoni Iraola. The club have already brought in Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet, while Ronald Araujo has joined from Barcelona on loan.
Liverpool have also agreed a major deal for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, reportedly worth £106mn initially with another £17mn in potential add-ons.
The Reds have made a slow start to the Premier League campaign, drawing their opening two matches against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest. Victor Munoz scored his first Liverpool goal to secure a 2-2 draw with Forest on Saturday, while Alexander Isak also found the net.
